& then if you had actually chosen that life, you would be wondering why didn't you choose the alternative?
So there, life is full of wonders. We'll never stop wondering. But it's better than staying stagnant, & making the decision to just not move. That, in my opinion, is the worse.
_____________
So yesterday I went back to Victoria to see my juniors, the juniors that I had never really known. It felt great though, because everything was so familiar. Even though everyone was different, I was no longer that excited young secondary one who cheered because I thought it was the only thing I could do. I was that graduate, alumni of that team. The team that I had grew so much with, even though I gave up halfway.
Because in all seventeen years of my life, there wasn't really anything I could really be proud of except Anglican Badminton Team.
_____________
Though when I witnessed the match, it was nothing like the ones I saw when I was much younger, nothing like the power, speed, the hard struggle to reach the top, because everything has changed. The people have changed, the practices&cultures have changed.
But one thing hasn't changed, The Anglican Pride. Because however much we may say the school sucks or what, it's because we were all once from the same school, that we had the chance to become a team, a family. We play for ourselves, our teammates, our entire team from the secondary ones to the alumnis to the coaches to the teachers-in-charge. Because you don't win alone, you win together.
